However the Mayo Clinic has expressed a negative opinion of the grapefruit diet passing it off as dangerous, unhealthy and unbalanced. Some people who have tried the grapefruit juice diet and even those who have tried the 3 day cottage cheese grapefruit diet have met with success. Research into the grapefruit diet has shown that insulin levels are decreased in the body thereby affects how the blood sugar is regulated. Grapefruit in and of itself is considered to be low glycemic. It ids believed that because the grapefruit diet has a low glycemic index that it is able to act on the body’s metabolism to help a person burn fat. |

As far as the Hollywood diet is concerned, this grapefruit diet impersonator is more of a fast that involves consuming only juices for a full 48-hour period of time. The Hollywood miracle diet and exercise plan is not so much a method for losing weight as what you lose while on it is water and toxins instead of fat. While it is touted as a way to lose weight fast by way of a Hollywood diet drink, it does has obvious benefits in that the Hollywood diet which is very much a Hollywood celebrity diet, is a form of tonic for the body and it cleanses and detoxifies the system. A Hollywood diet consists of a type of miracle juice that is scientifically designed to make sure it contains an appropriate blend of antioxidants, vitamins, essential oil, fruits and minerals so the body will not be deprived while it is going through a period of detoxification.
No matter whether you choose a grapefruit diet or any other kind of diet, always seek to live a healthy life, in regards to eating, exercise, rest and keeping levels of stress under control. Healthy living also means getting enough sleep as lack of sleep often causes the body to overcompensate in other areas and this could mean eating in excess throughout the daytime hours. |
